Winger Will Hayhurst has followed Preston team-mate Ben Davies in joining York City on loan.
The 19-year-old, who has made 10 appearances for North End this season, links up with the Minstermen on a 28-day youth loan. Explaining the decision, boss Simon Grayson said: "Will is a player we think very highly off, but he has not played many first-team minutes of late and we felt it was important to get him some regular game time ahead of the run in to the end of the season when our squad will be stretched to its limit. "Competition for places is fierce and this move will help develop Will as a player and a person, as well as keeping him match fit for when he is called upon by us. "I'm sure he will be a very useful acquisition for York City in the short term."
