Leeds United have moved into pole position for Stoke striker Cameron Jerome, Sky Sports understands.
Jerome was close to joining Blackburn Rovers last week, but a deal was not finalised.
He has now attracted interest from a host of other Championship clubs, including Leeds, Bolton and Wolves.
But it now appears that Neil Warnock is in pole position to seal a deal to take him on loan from the Britannia Stadium.
It is believed all the clubs interested wanted him signed in time for this weekend but it remains to be seen if that will be possible.
