Stoke manager Tony Pulis heaped praise on Peter Crouch after the striker scored both goals in a comfortable 2-0 victory over Swansea.
Crouch, who now has four Premier League goals for the season, was celebrating his 500th appearance in English football, and did so in style with a close-range header from a corner and then tapped home from four yards after Michel Vorm had parried his original shot.
Pulis, who admitted his relief at his side's first victory of the season, acclaimed the England striker for his performance.
"I thought Peter played exceptionally well," said Pulis.
"He's unlucky not to have a hat-trick.
"He had a header during the second half that came off the crossbar, and that's normally food and drink for him.
"He's been brilliant since he joined the football club and has four league goals already for us this season."
Crouch, 31, has now scored five goals in as many games in all competitions for Stoke.
