Stoke boss insists no fall out with winger

Stoke boss Tony Pulis has reiterated he has no issue with Jermaine Pennant, despite leaving him out of his squad last week. Pennant was among those absent from the matchday squad last Saturday against Manchester City and he revealed on Twitter he was not injured. The winger summed up his thoughts by writing: "I feel your frustration people, that's all I can say on the matter." Asked if there was any issue with the player, Pulis - who has bolstered his squad with seven new signings since the end of last season - said: "No, he is fit and raring to go. "It is the same with (striker) Kenwyne Jones, (midfielder) Rory Delap and people like that. They are ready to go and it is smashing that we have a strong squad and everybody is fighting for their places. "The big thing this year, as much as trying to get results, will be trying to keep the players who are out of the squad happy. "Over the past few years it is something I've had to get used to, and it's difficult because they all want to play, which is important."
