Sky Sports understands Stoke City youngster Jordan Richardson has signed a two-year contract at the Britannia Stadium.
The Liverpool-born 18-year-old was a regular in the club's Academy side last season and played a prominent role in their run to the fifth round of the FA Youth Cup.
The highly-rated attacking midfielder will now set his sights on a place in the first-team squad after sealing his first professional deal.
Richardson, who is believed to possess a long throw similar to that of Rory Delap, hit 12 goals from midfield for the Potters Academy side last season.
