Stoke City are poised to push through a deal for former Rangers star Jamie Ness, Sky Sports understands.
The 21-year-old is one of a growing number of players to have rejected the chance to switch to the newco at Ibrox after Rangers were liquidated.
And now Ness is set to be the first of those players to seal a move away from the club.
Ness is understood to have already had a medical in Staffordshire ahead of sealing a move to the Britannia Stadium.
The Scottish Under-21 international has been offered a four-year deal and is set to sign the contract shortly.
Rangers newco chief executive Charles Green has insisted he will launch legal action against the players who have left, but Scotland's PFA are backing them and the SPL are set to ratify any moves.
Ness would be Stoke's first signing of the summer.
