Stoke boss Tony Pulis believes Manchester United's two penalties were debatable following the 2-0 loss at Old Trafford.
United profited from fouls by Jermaine Pennant and Jon Walters on Park Ji-Sung and Antonio Valencia either side of the interval.
But Pulis thought referee Mike Jones' decisions to award penalties were debatable.
He told Sky Sports: "When you come to the big clubs you need decisions to go for you and one or two decisions have not gone for us tonight.
"Debatable, the two of them. The first one, Jermaine's absolutely adamant that he's touched the ball, he's caught Evra's foot afterwards, but he's played the ball first.
Does well
"And the second one, Valencia's does very well. He runs across Jon Walters and then goes down.
"So you can see why the referee's given the both off them, especially at Old Trafford."
But Pulis did was full of praise for United.
"You must take nothing away from them," he said.
"They are the best team in England at the moment, one of the best teams in Europe, so you have to take your hat off to them."
