The agent of Werder Bremen's Marko Arnautovic claims he is working on a possible loan for the forward to a French club.
The Austria international signed for Werder from FC Twente in 2010, having played on loan for Inter Milan the season before.
But he found himself in trouble with his club's officials on several occasions last term and dropped out of the first XI.
While wanting a new start this term after vowing to improve his behaviour both on and off the field, he has only made one substitute appearance.
An unnamed leading club in Ligue 1 is reportedly keen to add the player to their squad and the agent of the forward, Franjo Vranjkovic, has claimed he is working on such a possibility for the upcoming 12 months.
Vranjkovic told Bild: "I have the rights to represent Marko Arnautovic, except for clubs from the Netherlands.
"And I have started the project now. Since Tuesday, 11 o'clock, there is an official enquiry for the services of Marko Arnautovic."
But Arnautovic insists he would like to stay on and fight for his place at the Weserstadion.
He said: "I am not burying my head into the sand. I am not giving up being a player of Werder Bremen. This is not like I want it to be."
His brother Danijel also does not think Arnautovic will leave the Bundesliga outfit.
"Marko is going to stay on at Werder Bremen. He is not looking to move," he said.
