Stoke defender Ryan Shawcross has hit back at criticism from Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger over his physical style of play.
Along with Rory Delap, Shawcross was a player Wenger accused of intentionally attempting to injure members of his squad in last weekend's Premier League clash.
Stoke secured the points at the Britannia Stadium and Wenger was not impressed after the likes of Emmanuel Adebayor and Theo Walcott suffered harm.
But Shawcross has rubbished the Frenchman's accusations and insists he does not deliberately hurt opponents.
"I'm a fair player and would never set out to hurt anybody, like all players at Stoke," Shawcross told the Stoke Sentinel.
"It's just part of football that injuries sometimes happen."
