Stoke City boss Tony Pulis has described defender Ryan Shawcross as the future of the club.
Shawcross has battled his way back into the Stoke side after being axed after the opening game of the season.
And Pulis has been delighted with the attitude of the 21-year-old centre-back, who has helped the Potters to back-to-back Premier League wins over Sunderland and Arsenal.
"He has had to fight to get in and, in the last couple of games, he has done brilliantly," Pulis told the Stoke Sentinel.
"The important thing now is that he keeps that going, doesn't take his foot off the pedal and pushes on rather than thinking he has arrived.
"His attitude has been brilliant. He is the future of the football club. He will be a top player for Stoke City, but he will have his ups and downs."
