Stoke have taken former Reading winger John Oster on trial.
Oster has linked up with the Premier League new boys after turning down the chance to join Derby following a trial at Pride Park.
The Welsh international is available on a free transfer after leaving Reading at the end of last season.
Stoke boss Tony Pulis has moved to offer Oster the chance to win a move to the Britannia Stadium by taking him on trial.
Oster played in Wednesday's friendly win over Worcester City and Pulis will cast an eye over the former Everton man before deciding whether or not to offer him a deal.
