Inverness Caledonian Thistle have handed a trial to Stoke striker Adam Rooney.
Rooney has linked up with Caley on their pre-season tour of Denmark as he begins a week's trial at the Scottish club.
The Republic of Ireland international is well down the pecking order at Stoke and spent two spells out on loan at Chesterfield and Bury last season.
Stoke boss Tony Pulis is believed to be willing to loan out Rooney so that he can get some regular first team action and if he impresses during his week with Caley he could win a move to the Highlands outfit.
