Adam Rooney has extended his loan spell at League Two side Bury until the end of the season.
The teenage striker is on the books of Stoke, but has been allowed to leave the Britannia Stadium this season in order to gain valuable first-team experience.
He spent the first half of the campaign at Chesterfield, netting six times in 22 appearances.
The Republic of Ireland Under 21 was then sent to Gigg Lane in February on an initial two-month deal and has impressed once more, grabbing three goals in 14 appearances.
Now set to remain with the Shakers for the remainder of the season Rooney will be eligible for their final three fixtures against Macclesfield, Rochdale and Accrington.
