Cardiff boss Dave Jones has promised changes in his attempt to make the club stronger as their play-off hopes faded following a 1-1 draw against Stoke.
A late goal by Michael Chopra (pictured) gave Cardiff a point but the result did little to help either side's chances of making the play-offs.
"We have a lot of young players in the team but if I don't think they will reach the level I require I won't hesitate to shift them out and bring new players in," Jones said after the game.
"This club has come a long way since I have been here and we will all continue to make the club grow."
Stoke had taken the lead on the half hour when Ricardo Fuller and Vincent Pericard combined for Carl Hoefkens to drill low across David Forde and in at the far corner.
"I thought we deserved a point as we had most of the possession," said Jones.
"But we have to believe in the way we want to play and just have to be better in certain areas across the park.
"We are a young side and we have to think that the younger players will learn from their mistakes quickly."
Stoke assumed control after taking the lead although they were far from adventurous and content to keep men behind the ball.
But Chopra's late strike proved expensive for the visitors.
"That is the fourth or fifth time a late goal has proved costly," said Stoke manager Tony Pulis.
"We had some great chances to add to our lead but I can't find fault with any of the players as they have all done well.
"We have two home games coming up and they are vital if we want to remain in the hunt."
