Stoke City youngster Carl Dickinson has joined Blackpool on a one-month loan deal.
The 19-year-old defender moves to Bloomfield Road to cover the injury to Danny Coid (pictured).
Coid has been ruled out for up to three months with a knee injury picked up in last week's draw with Yeovil.
Dickinson links up with the The Seasiders after impressing manager Simon Grayson during a recent reserve team fixture.
The left back has made just two starts for The Potters in The Championship this season and Stoke director of football John Rudge believes the move will be beneficial to the youngster in the long term.
"Carl is a young player with great potential who is improving and needs to play games to get the experience," Rudge told the club's official website.
"His chances have been limited this season, so this move represents a great chance for him to play regularly at a good standard."
