Stoke City defender Andy Wilkinson has signed a new two-year contract.
Stoke City defender Andy Wilkinson has signed a new two-year contract with the Championship club.
The 21-year-old was out of contract at The Britannia Stadium and offered fresh terms back in early June.
Wilkinson has now penned a deal until the summer of 2008, with The Potters pleased to secure the youngster's services.
"He's come through the ranks here and we wanted to keep him," Stoke chief executive Tony Scholes told the club's official website.
"We believe Andy has a lot of talent and there were a number of other clubs interested.
"Andy is another young player to decide his immediate future is best served by staying at the club and that says something."
