Stoke City have confirmed the release of veterans Gerry Taggart and Ed de Goey.
Stoke City have confirmed that veterans Gerry Taggart and Ed de Goey have been released by the Championship club.
Dutchman de Goey leaves The Potters after three seasons with the club following his free transfer move from Chelsea.
The custodian was recently in talks with Sparta Rotterdam regarding a player-coaching role back in his homeland.
Former Northern Ireland international Taggart (pictured) leaves The Britannia Stadium after his 12-month contract expired.
The pair have been joined by six youngsters, as Adam Kirkpatrick, Liam Page, John Quigley, Chris Sanna, Nathan Slater and Josh Wilson were all made surplus to requirements.
Two out of contract players in Karl Henry and Andy Wilkinson have been offered new terms by the Potteries outfit, while Rob Duggan, Keith Thomas, Carl Dickenson, Matthew Hazley and Rob Garrett have all signed professional terms.
