Millwall have moved to bolster their attacking options following the capture of Carl Asaba from Stoke on a free transfer.

The goal-shy Lions have mustered just one league goal to date with Colin Lee's side bottom of the table four games into the new season.

Asaba, who has penned a one-year deal with Millwall, is thrilled to be back in London and is eager to score goals for his new club.

"I am delighted to be here and can't wait to start scoring goals again," Asaba told the club's official website.

"I began my career just up the road at Dulwich Hamlet, so it's great to be back in London."

Meanwhile, Republic of Ireland youth international Adam Rooney has joined Stoke's academy on a full-time contract.

The 17-year-old striker impressed academy manager Noel Blake and his stay at the club has been extended.
