Cheltenham Town have extended the loan of Stoke midfielder Karl Henry and are keen to re-sign his Potters team-mate Brian Wilson.

Henry has made five appearances for The Robins and manager John Ward wanted to keep the 21-year-old for a further two months.

Stoke would prefer to review the deal on a monthly basis and could also loan Wilson back to the Third Division side later this week.

Wilson was recalled by The Potters last week, with Ward admitting he is hopeful of setting up another loan for the right back.

"I spoke to John Rudge (Stoke's director of football) and asked if we could have Karl for another two months," Ward told the club's website.

"He did not see a problem but wanted to do the loan one month at a time.

"I also asked about Brian Wilson but he has been needed for the Stoke first-team squad for the last two games.

"They were not prepared to let him come back in time for the Kidderminster game on Tuesday but I will be speaking to them again at the end of the week.

"If Stoke's player availability situation has improved then we may be able to take him on loan again."
