Barnsley have handed the duo of Peter Handyside and Craig Ireland new Oakwell deals until the end of the season.
The pair had been on month-to-month contracts since joining the Second Division club in the summer.
Ireland has been a regular in manager Gudjon Thordarson's side since joining from Notts County while Handyside has played 19 times for The Tykes this term.
Meanwhile, Thordarson has blasted Stoke City over their asking price of £150,000 for transfer-listed striker Chris Iwelumo.
The Icelandic coach admitted the price tag was out of their range and that no deal will be reached unless The Potters bring their valuation down.
"As long as Stoke City are asking for £150,000, then I am not going to make any move whatsoever," Thordarson told the club's official website.
"I have spoken to them and made my position clear.
"Unless they move their goalposts towards us then I will not taking that matter forward at all."
The Tykes were also disappointed to miss out on fellow striker Clive Platt, who joined Peterborough United from Notts County this week.
