COVENTRY'S weekend goal-scoring hero Jay Bothroyd has blasted referee Andy Hall for his display in The Sky Blues' 2-1 win over Stoke.

Hall booked no less than 11 players and dismissed two in the clash between the sides at the Britannia Stadium.

Former Arsenal man Bothroyd actually netted twice in the match, however he feels that the poor officiating spoiled the contest for all concerned.

"He is the worst referee I've ever seen," blasted Bothroyd.

"He made a lot of bad decisions and spoiled what would have been a very good game.

"He sent two people off for nothing offences and none of us knew what was going on.

"I'm just relieved we ended up getting the three points," concluded Bothroyd.

Meanwhile, Coventry have revealed they have reached a settlement with former chairman Bryan Richardson over his claim for wrongful dismissal.

The club made a counterclaim against Richardson, but now the issue has been settled without any payment by either party.
