LUTON TOWN have signed Stoke City striker Dean Crowe on a permanent deal after he impressed on loan at Kenilworth Road.

The 22-year-old has been on loan at The Hatters for the last month and he has done enough in his short time at the club to win a permanent move.

Crowe has scored five goals in five games and Hatters boss Joe Kinnear is delighted to have him on permanent basis.

"I have done the deal with Crowe," said Kinnear. "It is a two-and-a-half year deal .

"I thrashed things out with his agent yesterday and we have come to an agreement.

Kinnear revealed he had signed the player on a free transfer, but the deal included a 50% sell-on fee for Stoke should he move on again.

"I have got him a free, but there is a 50% sell-on clause with Stoke," said Kinnear.

"I have agreed that if he starts scoring goals for fun and someone comes in for him I will let Stoke have 50% of anything I make on the player."
