Southampton forward Guly do Prado is determined to earn more first-team action next campaign and has already set his sights on pre-season.

Southampton enjoyed an eventful season that saw them recover from a poor start before sacking their manager Nigel Adkins in January. They replaced him with Mauricio Pochettino, a relative unknown in England, and the Argentine guided them to a respectable 14th-place finish in what was their first top-flight season since 2005. Guly is full of praise for the work Pochettino has done at St Mary's so far and is optimistic about the future under his stewardship. "The new manager has made it so that's it's a pleasure to come into work and the way the team have been playing," he added. "The new coach has brought many new ideas. He has changed the way we play and has made everyone in the club feel important and that is important to someone like me. "I always I want to give my best for Southampton Football Club and I think the manager knows this. I have never been more determined to do well for the club than I am now."
