Southampton skipper Dean Hammond insists the future looks bright at the club under new boss Nigel Adkins.
Saints have yet to win a game - or score a goal - since Alan Pardew's sacking last month but picked up their first point under Adkins in Saturday's goalless draw at home to Colchester.
"The new manager has come in, he's been great and put the smiles back on the players' faces," said midfielder Hammond.
"Whatever happened in the past we just have to deal with and move on because we want to have a successful season.
"We're a good team, we've got a good squad and a good manager. There are 39 games to go which is a massive season and a lot of games and we are very positive."
