Artur Boruc fears for his future in the Poland side if he is not playing regularly for Fiorentina.
The summer signing from Celtic has found himself playing second fiddle to Sebastien Frey so far this season.
Boruc is happy with his early days at Fiorentina and is determined to fight for his place in the side.
"I am happy to be with the national team again. The next few months will be decisive for me," said Boruc.
"But if I continue to sit on the bench at Fiorentina it will be difficult for me to keep my place in the national team.
"I believe that I have worked really well in training camp perhaps because the climate is better with respect to Scotland.
"Last year things didn't go well in Scotland. The new coach and the bad results negatively influenced the dressing room.
"Anyway, Celtic will always remain in my heart. I decided to change clubs and Fiorentina are ideal.
"I didn't come here to sit on the bench. I am giving the maximum to gain the coach's confidence.
"I hope that I haven't chosen badly."
