Southampton midfielder Anthony Pulis sustained a suspected dislocated shoulder on Wednesday.
The 25-year-old picked up the injury during Saints' 1-0 victory over Farnborough at Cherrywood Road.
Pulis was taken off on the half hour, with Ben Reeves taking over for the remainder of the pre-season friendly.
Saints landed the win with just nine minutes remaining, with Lee Barnard finding the back of the net after an Aarran Racine header was blocked.
