Former Southampton midfielder Jo Tessem says he plans to return to England at the end of the current Norwegian Premier League season.
The 35-year-old former Norwegian international says he hopes to continue playing when he returns to the UK.
Tessem told Nettavisen: "I have an English partner and a two-year-old son. We had to make a decision and we chose England since we have been happy there.
"My body is better than it has been for many years and I want to play as long as it is possible."
Tessem joined the Saints in 1999 for £600,000 and went on to make 130 appearances for the South coast club, scoring 16 goals. He also played in the 2003 FA Cup final against Arsenal, coming on as a late substitute.
He also spent a loan spell at Millwall before signing a three-year contract at current Norwegian Premier League club Lyn-Oslo in 2005.
