Swindon Town boss Paul Sturrock has confirmed he is hoping to bring Southampton striker Leon Best to the County Ground.
The young striker recently scored 10 goals in 15 games on loan at Yeovil and would in all likelihood be an excellent signing for Sturrock's League Two side.
Swindon currently have top scorer Lee Peacock out due to injury and Sturrock is hoping to call on a favour from Saints boss George Burley in order to bring Best to the club on a temporary basis.
"Leon Best is one we are very interested in. He was with me at Sheffield Wednesday and his contract at Southampton finishes at the end of this season," Sturrock told a fans' forum.
"If they get him to sign a new contract and move him back out on loan again I will be there with my begging bowl.
"George owes me a favour and I will be calling that favour in.
"I'm sure there will be a lot of other clubs looking at him but we'll give it a go."
