Southampton have handed a new contract to starlet Adam Lallana.
The 18-year-old forward has made an impressive start to the season at St Mary's and is the latest Saints academy graduate to sign a long-term deal.
"I'm fortunate to have been offered this and I just wanted to sign for as long as possible and keep improving on my football," he said.
"I was delighted when the manager told me and I was really enthusiastic to put pen-to-paper as quickly as possible.
"The gaffer [George Burley] has been brilliant with me. I think he has always been a believer in that saying - if you are good enough you are old enough.
"Fortunately for me at the beginning of this season he gave me my chance and obviously he has given people like Andrew Surman, Gareth Bale, Nathan Dyer and David McGoldrick theirs too."
