Sheffield Wednesday have completed the capture of Yoann Folly for an undisclosed fee from Southampton.
The 21-year-old midfielder spent most of the second half of last season with The Owls and clearly enjoyed his stay.
Wednesday boss Paul Sturrock was impressed with Folly's ability and opted to offer him a deal this summer.
Folly was out of contract with The Saints, but as he is under 24 then Saints are entitled to compensation for his services.
The clubs have now agreed terms on a deal and Folly has penned a one-year deal with the South Yorkshire outfit.
Folly's arrival means midfielder Glenn Whelan has been placed on the transfer list.
Sturrock needs to trim his wage bill in order to sign a goalkeeper this summer and has opted to let the former Manchester City player move on this summer.
