Lyn are hoping to sign Southampton outcast Jo Tessem on loan immediately before bringing the forward back to Norway permanently in the summer.

Tessem is out of favour at St Mary's and has not played for the struggling Premiership club this season.

He spent three months on loan at Millwall earlier in the season and his contract with Saints expires at the end of the campaign.

Norwegian outfit Lyn have been repeatedly trying to sign the 32-year-old, who was linked with Aberdeen during the January transfer window.

Tessem is keen to return to his homeland and reports suggest he has already agreed a pre-contract with Lyn.

But Lyn are hoping to land the attacker now and want to strike a loan deal with Southampton to facilitate Tessem's exit from St Mary's.

"We are hoping for a loan deal now and that he becomes a Lyn player from the summer," Lyn director Morgan Andersen told VG.

Meanwhile, Lyn have also handed a trial to former Arsenal youngster Stefan Gislason.
