Plymouth have snapped up Southampton striker Dexter Blackstock on a month's loan.

The teenage striker has found himself pushed down the pecking order at St Mary's following the arrival of Henri Camara on loan from Wolves.

Blackstock has scored five goals for Saints this season including a hat-trick against Colchester in the Carling Cup and Plymouth manager Bobby Williamson was delighted to bring him to Home Park

"I'm delighted he's joining us - he's a player I've had my eye on for quite a while," said Williamson.

"I spoke to [Southampton manager] Harry Redknapp, asking him to keep me informed about him, and when Harry signed Henri Camara from Celtic on Monday, the wheels were put in motion.

"He will complement what we already have here at Home Park and goes straight into the squad for Saturday."
