Southampton defender Fitz Hall has played down talk of a possible move to Crystal Palace and pledged his future to The Saints.

Eagles boss Iain Dowie tabled a £1.5 million bid for the tall stopper as he looks to be reunited with the player having worked with him at Oldham.

Hall admitted he was flattered at Palace's interest, but all he was concentrating on was Southampton.

"Obviously it always flattering to hear that sort of thing but unless told otherwise I am a Southampton player," Hall told the club's official website.

"I am concentrating on doing my best for the team and looking forward to the start of the season on August 14."
