Kenny Jackett wants his Wolves side to set a new record in League One following their 3-1 win over Leyton Orient.
The win left Wanderers on the verge of clinching the title but boss Jackett says they can achieve even more. "Winning the title has been our aim all along but we have the added incentive of a record if we can get to 102 points which would be fantastic for all of us at the club," he said. Wolves looked in total control after first-half goals from Richard Stearman and Bakary Sako. Orient stepped up their game after the interval, though, and within two minutes Dean Cox had pulled a goal back. Wolves keeper Carl Ikeme was then forced to pull off a series of outstanding saves to deny the home side an equaliser before, deep into added time, substitute James Henry set the seal on the outcome with strike from 25 yards. "To beat Rotherham and Leyton Orient over this weekend was superb, although I felt our goalkeeper was man of the match today," added Jackett. "It was a terrific performance from Carl Ikeme and to be honest, we've not really needed him too much in recent months because he hasn't been that busy but we really did need him today. "He proved what he is and that's a top-class goalkeeper. From being 2-0 up with so long to go, it proved to be a very hard game for us knowing that it would be such a key win if we could get it in our hunt for the title. But we scored some cracking goals and we were clinical in front of goal. "There were things we could have done better but whatever, we are on 99 points and 102 points will set a new record I understand. So yes, if that record is there, then we'll be going for it. "We can then start planning and looking at Championship football with a very positive club and hopefully with momentum. If we can achieve what we want, it will leave us with a nice feeling going into the summer. "Up until the turn of the year, I don't think our play was fantastic but we were competing but since the turn of the year, the quality of our football has been very good."
