Sheffield United midfielder Kevin McDonald has left the club after agreeing terms with League One rivals Wolves.

McDonald, 24, has signed a three-year deal with Kenny Jackett's side after rejecting a new contract at Bramall Lane and moves for an undisclosed fee. The former Scotland under-21 international made over 90 appearances for the Blades, scoring five goals. Manager David Weir told the club's official website: "We offered him a new, which in my opinion is a very good, offer, I have spoken to him personally, as have the club. "We made a big effort to keep Kevin, but he has chosen to move on and that is his decision."
