Wolves captain Karl Henry has apologised to fans after he was sent off in Saturday's 3-3 draw with Brighton at Molineux.

Henry was given a straight red card in first half stoppage time for a lunge on Albion's Liam Bridcutt -leaving the home side to play the whole of the second half with only 10-men.

"I'd like to apologise to the Wolves fans for getting sent off today," Henry wrote on Twitter.

"I am a committed player that gives everything on the pitch - in today's game there is a fine line between a great tackle and a red card and this afternoon I got it wrong.

I thought the team played really well with 10 men and showed great character to come back and gain a valuable point. Once again, I apologise!!"
