Wolves manager Stale Solbakken has confirmed he expects to appoint a new coach in the next fortnight and is also close to bringing a winger in on loan.
Former Cologne assistant manager Patrick Weiser is leading the race to land the coaching job while Manchester United wideman Robbie Brady is believed to be on Solbakken's wish-list.
The Norwegian said initially that he wanted a British coach to fill the gap left by the departure of Terry Connor but now looks set to bring in Weiser, who he worked with at the Bundesliga club.
"Patrick is one of the guys who we've been talking to for a long time," Solbakken told the Express and Star.
"He's also someone I know from before. We're monitoring the situation and have been in touch with a few others.
"I'll probably have one or two more chats with people this week and then hopefully we'll solve it within the next 14 days."
On the possibility of a loan signing, he added: "We've done some research and there's something we want to test out and we'll see this week if it's possible.
"Because Slawomir Peszko and Razak Boukari are out for quite a long time, the wide area could be one we want to improve."
