Slawomir Peszko: Happy to link up Stale Solbakken once again
Slawomir Peszko is determined to be a success in the Championship after completing his season-long loan move to Wolves from FC Cologne.
The 27-year-old Poland international has joined the Molineux club with a view to a permanent deal, and in the process linked up with former boss Stale Solbakken.
After Wolves' recent relegation from the top flight, Peszko is looking to help them return to the Premier League at the first time of asking.
He told the club's official website: "I think Wolves are a very good team with very good fans, and I went and had a look around the stadium yesterday and that looks great.
"I know the club is not in the Premier League but I'd like to try and help them get back there if we can.
"I have always wanted to play here and I am looking forward to the challenge and the team can also help me as well and I can become a better player in England."
Both Solbakken and Peszko arrive in the Midlands after a tough season at Cologne, but the latter believes that this experience will serve him well in the Championship.
"This is a great opportunity for me at a great club with a manager I know well from our time together at Cologne," he added.
"That will be good for me settling in and I will understand what he wants from me.
"He is a tough coach but a very good coach with a good mentality and always likes to speak to players on a one-to-one basis and that is important.
"I am really looking forward to working with him again."
