Sky Sports understands Wolves are set to sign Swedish teenager Tim Jakobsson after he impressed on trial.
The IK Frej midfielder has been on trial at Molineux for the past two weeks and has featured in a couple of pre-season games.
The 17-year-old is highly-rated in his homeland and has previously attracted the interest of Leicester and Hull.
New Wolves boss Stale Solbakken is well aware of Jakobsson from his Scandinavian connections and he is ready to offer the player a deal at Molineux.
Wolves and IK Frej are holding talks as they look to thrash out a fee and a deal is expected to be concluded later this week.
