Midfielder says Wolves need to bounce back in final games

Stephen Hunt has admitted Wolves need to turn their form around or life in the Championship will become a reality for the Midlands club. Wolves have won just once in their last 10 games, losing their last four and are rooted to the bottom of the table, four points away from safety, having played a game more than Bolton who are in 17th. They host the Trotters this weekend in a must-win game, or they risk slipping seven points from safety. After conceding 14 times in their last four games, and netting just once, Hunt says it is time for the team to bounce back and secure their survival. "Let's be honest, the situation hasn't been looking great for the last few weeks. We need to pick ourselves up and go again and get the situation back in our own hands," the 30-year-old told the Daily Mirror. "The next two or three games are vital for that and also for team morale. "I know how to get out of it and that's by sticking together. That can be difficult but when the going gets tough you rely on tough characters. The lads here will always fight to the bitter end."

Unexpected

Having been relegated with both Reading and Hull City, Hunt knows how things can change at the bottom of the league and feels that there may be some more shocks between now and May. "I know for a fact between now and the end of the season teams will win and lose games they are not expected to. "The unexpected always happens, and one or two teams who people think are going down manage to get themselves out of it." Having been sidelined with a groin injury, the winger is hoping to make an impact over the final part of the season, just like he did last season as Wolves scraped survival on the final day. "I want to be able to make a similar impact to what I did in the last few games of last season so I need to try and get up to those levels in the next few games. "And I am confident that I can do that. I'm feeling good now and glad to be in training again. "Hopefully now I can shrug it off and be involved over the final eight games of the season and have an impact."
