Defender delighted to bounce back

Wolves defender Ronald Zubar has thanked Mick McCarthy and his team-mates for rallying round him after his Bolton nightmare. Zubar's poor back pass presented Daniel Sturridge with the injury-time winner as Wanderers triumphed 1-0 at the Reebok Stadium last week. But the Frenchman bounced back with an impressive performance in Wolves' victory over Manchester United at the weekend Zubar has paid tribute to everybody at the club for helping him get over his mistake against Bolton.

Recover

"It wasn't easy to recover for a couple of days. I was angry with myself and had it on my mind," Zubar told the club's official website "But once I got on the pitch and the fans were shouting 'Zubar' it was like, 'Come on, let's go Zubey'. We've got unbelievable fans and the support I had was great. "Everyone was behind me, not just the fans but the players and of course firstly the manager. He gave me my confidence back, as did all the boys who I had been so disappointed for after working so hard against Bolton."
