Nice striker Mamadou Bagayoko has joined Wolverhampton Wanderers on a week's trial. The Mali international has been allowed to head to the Premier League strugglers after playing just 28 minutes for the Ligue 1 side this season. Bagayoko, who scored once in 23 appearances last season for the French outfit, has missed a chunk of the current campaign through injury. But the 31-year-old frontman could be set for a switch to England in the near future with a chance to impress Wolves manager Mick McCarthy in the next seven days. The Midlanders, who are 19th in the table, have struggled for goals this term with last season's top scorer Kevin Doyle only claiming his first league strike in last weekend's defeat at Blackpool.
