Defender looking forward to next season after signing new deal

Exeter City defender Scott Golbourne has ended any doubts over his future by signing a new contract at St James Park. Golbourne made 38 appearances for the Grecians last season after his arrival from Reading, but there had been uncertainty over whether he would agree an extension. He will now be part of Paul Tisdale's plans for next season and is looking to build on last term's campaign in League One. "The deal is done now and I'm happy to still be here," he told the club's official website. "I think this season is going to be a really good one. We learnt a lot last year and we can be a force this year. "We have got some good players on board and I am really looking forward to getting started." Golbourne is the second player to commit his future to Exeter this week after Bertie Cozic agreed terms on Tuesday
