Jody Craddock has told his Wolves team-mates not to start thinking they are safe just yet.
Mick McCarthy's men are well placed to avoid relegation after Saturday's goalless draw with Fulham kept them six points clear of the bottom three.
West Ham and Hull City, the two teams immediately beneath Wolves, each have a game in hand to play this week.
Everyone in the survival battle will then have three matches left to play and Craddock insists it is too early to get complacent.
The defender is targeting another good result at home to Blackburn next Saturday to move Wolves closer to security.
"We're not mathematically safe so we can't say we're safe," Craddock told the
Birmingham Mail.
"We've got to keep going and picking up points."
Craddock was pleased to pick up a hard-earned point at Craven Cottage, adding: "It was a tough game against a strong team in hot weather so we all had a blow out there.
"But we kept another clean sheet which is fantastic. That's three in four games which is great.
"It's credit to the boys not just the back four, but to us as a team as to how well we've defended.
"It's great for us as a defence to get those clean sheets because that's what we strive for."
Elokobi praise
Craddock has been impressed by fellow defenders Christophe Berra and Ronald Zubar, and reserved special praise for George Elokobi following the weekend draw.
"Christophe, George and Zubar on the opposite side did fantastically well for us," he said.
"George has a tough time from the fans sometimes but he's won them over by playing so well on Saturday.
"He's a very strong character - he's one of the livelier ones in the dressing room and whatever stick he's had is water off a duck's back for him.
"If he hadn't have made that tackle on Duff he would have been in on goal and it would have been down to Marcus then, so he did fantastically well again. All credit to George."
