Wolves record signing Kevin Doyle has revealed he did not hesitate in moving to Molineux.

Record signing impressed by McCarthy's determination

Wolves record signing Kevin Doyle has revealed he did not hesitate in moving to Molineux because the newly-promoted Premier League club made him feel wanted. Manager Mick McCarthy has spent £6.5million on the former Reading striker as he prepares for life in the top flight following last season's Championship-winning campaign. Having made the move to Molinuex, Doyle insists he had no doubts about the switch to the Midlands. The Republic of Ireland international has revealed a phone call from McCarthy shortly after the conclusion of the 2008/09 campaign demonstrated Wolves' intent. Doyle told Sky Sports News: "The fact that, the day the season was over, they put in a phone call to Reading and had a bid accepted, that interest straight away from day one made me think, 'they're keen'. "I was expecting another long summer. When someone is that keen and shows that much interest, it makes you feel happy about yourself and want to go and play for that person."
