Wales goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey has been ruled out of the Euro 2008 qualifiers against Cyprus and San Marino.

The Wolves shot-stopper injured his hip in Saturday's match against Coventry and was taken to hospital for an X-ray.

Hennessey was hopeful of joining up with John Toshack's squad for the two games after results showed that his injured hip was not broken.

However, the 20-year-old keeper has since complained of soreness and is unable to play.

Wolves physio Barry Holmes told the club's official website: "We are hoping it settles down quickly and that during the two-week break we can get him fit for the Charlton game."
