Freddy Eastwood is hoping his goalscoring debut will secure a place in the Wales team to face Germany.
The Wolves striker enjoyed a memorable international bow on Wednesday by scoring the only goal in Bulgaria.
Eastwood is now keen to be given a chance in next month's Euro 2008 qualifier against Germany at The Millennium Stadium.
"I can't wait now to play against Germany, I just hope I have done enough for John Toshack to keep me in the side," said Eastwood.
The former Southend United star also concedes his Wales debut went better than he could have expected.
He added: "I could not have asked for a better start to my career with Wales, I was obviously delighted with the goal on my debut, but more importantly it was a great performance by the whole team.
"I wasn't quite sure what I was going to do when I picked the ball up out on the right. But Simon Davies went on a great run ahead of me to take defenders away and that made my mind up.
"The space was there in front of me and I just kept going and hit it. To score on your debut for your country is very special, I have a habit of scoring on debuts.
"It was a pretty good night for us Wolves lads. Wayne Hennessey was outstanding in goal making the saves, and I was up the other end scoring the winner! It can't get much better than that for the pair of us.
"But I was really impressed with Wayne, he is only a young lad, but he is already a fine goalkeeper and will only get better."
