Stephen Ward, Joe Murphy and Wayne Hennessey have all won the February Powerade Player of the Month awards for their respective divisions.

Wolves striker Ward has been impressive following his January arrival from Bohemians and netted three times for Mick McCarthy's Championship high-flyers last month.

"The Irishman has been a revelation since joining, chipping in with three vital goals to help Wolves stay on course for a play-off place," said Chris Kamara, chairman of the awards panel.

The League One award went to Scunthorpe keeper Murphy, who opened the month with three consecutive clean sheets against Millwall, Bristol City and Rotherham United.

"Some goalkeepers do not get the credit they deserve but Joe Murphy deserves special praise for the way in which he helped extend Scunthorpe's long unbeaten run," Kamara added.

Hennessey went one better for Stockport in keeping four clean sheets. He also helped The Hatters make Football League history after the side claimed nine consecutive wins without conceding.

Kamara concluded: "Wayne is a young keeper with a big future in the game. To break a Football League record in the process is something which Wayne should be proud of."
