Wolves defender Jackie McNamara is set to see a specialist in a bid to cure his hip problem.
The 32-year-old missed most of last season with a cruciate knee injury and has once again been sidelined for the beginning of the new campaign.
He had been hoping to return to action at the end of the international break but a scan last week confirmed that he was not yet ready to come back.
Wolves are keen for McNamara to make a speedy recovery and will now wait anxiously as a specialist reviews his rehabilitation programme.
Mick McCarthy's side will not want to lose players to injury as they look to mount a push for promotion.
