Roda JC midfielder Edrissa Sonko is set to begin a week-long trial with Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The 26-year-old is still under contract with Roda but the Eredivisie outfit are willing to allow the Ghanaian-born player to look for a new club.
Sonko has spent the last six seasons with Roda, racking up almost 100 appearances and 15 goals.
However, his time in Holland appears to be coming to an end, with Roda happy to co-operate with his transfer away from the Parkstad Limburg Stadion.
Wolves have offered the former Anderlecht star the chance to earn a move to England as new manager Mick McCarthy searches for reinforcements ahead of the upcoming Championship campaign.
Sonko is eligible for Dutch citizenship because he has spent over five years in Holland and would therefore not require a work permit should Wolves pursue their interest.
